Il budget PoE è il dato che decide se un apparato riesce davvero ad alimentare tutto quello che gli colleghi: 8 telefoni IP da 6-7 W stanno tranquillamente dentro i 110 W di uno switch come il NETGEAR M4250 GSM4210PD, mentre 24 telecamere dome con illuminatori IR o access point Wi-Fi 6 802.3bt chiedono ben altro, e lì si passa ai 375 W dello Zyxel GS1350-26HP o ai 600 W dell'XGS2220-54HP.
